Somehow the first syndications did not leave a good impression!
Well HELLO PLANET GNOME! My name is Seif Lotfy and i am a student (graduating within the next 2 weeks) living in germany (I am egyptian though). I am mainly developing on GNOME Zeitgeist (which is similar Federico’s Journal idea). I will be posting about the progress we are making tomorrow first thing in the morning! I hope you enjoy my blog!

I am 24 now so here is a list of 24 things I need to be doing or feel like it.
- Get all issues listed in the Zeitgeist TODO list done
- Finish studies/exams
- Improve my Salary
- Visit my girlfriend
- Visit my mom and brothers
- Visit my dad
- Lose weight
- Visit my aunt more
- Start porting at some point all Zeitgeist providers to Mayanna
- Start working (by helping Marina) on the GNOME Shell
- Work with C
- Work with Mono
- Learn to drive properly
- Go out lindy hoping
- Go out juggering
- Go out karaoke
- Traveling 1 month to India or China alone
- Learn to play an instrument (guitar or piano)
- Catch up on LARPING
- Look for a Job (anything with GNOME or OSS)
- Find a bigger better place and move out
- Buy a hybrid car
- Teach my girlfriend and little brother python
- Finish a FPS Game
Now I really don’t know how much I wil lget done befroe I turn 25 but I am going for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 14 for the next two months. Wish me luck!

Hmmmmmm took me 5.5 Years to go through college! What does it say about me? I know I was not fooling around but still 5.5 Years CRAP that is a lot ! I just turned 24 and am finishing school! I mean most people in germany finish at that age but for I alos started earlier than most germans.
Partly I don’t like what I was studying thus I tend to keep busy with other part time activities, such as 3 years robotics (currently World Champion in the RoboCup 4-legged league), R&D (Fraunhofer for 2 years and an ESA sponsored Project for 6 months), hacking on OSS(Gimmie, Mayanna and Zeitgeist) plus an internship at a bank! I also lost my dad back in 2006.
Does all this actually legitmate the 5.5 Years? How much does this experience count though? Will the 5.5 Years really get in my way of getting a good job? How much will a masters degree change the situation, if I can finish it in a year?
