On the Zeitgeist and Activity Journal side we have been brainstorming a bit on how to have quicker and direct access to the journal. The best idea was to have it appear upon a mouse gesture of just hovering to the very left edge. There a minimalistic version of the activity journal will appear…
Here is a Video
(sorry no audio)
Please also notice the speed with which the journal operates. We have put a lot of effort into this from the AJ and Zeitgeist side to provide an non-choppy experience. Please tell us what you think.

So, when can we implement it?
Hi
This is probably the wrong place to bring this up but here goes.
Just an observation that it would be better if the activity Journal by default made itself as wide as the current screen to make it easy for the user to fling the mouse to either side of the date mover buttons (the ones)
It would make for a nicer user experience.
Great work btw.
Keep it up
The worst thing is that AC is not part of nautilus. You waste most time with opening another app.
Not really a fan of the window edge solution. I think something can come out of it though
Speaking of quick access to anything using mouse – check this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CagAEgXAAzA
Dude! Awesome!
Could I get the wood board wallpaper?
That’s really cool. The only suggestion I would make is that it should probably be on the right side of the screen instead of the left, so that the most recent activity will be closest to the mouse.
Not really a fan of the screen edges too. I use them to change desktop.
I noticed (and appreciated!) the Journal speed!
Go on like this!
