GAJ 0.3.5 on its way…. Zeitgeist 0.3.4 too

Randy needs your help…
Once this is done we are moving GAJ (not Zeitgeist) to git :)

0.3.5 will provide a new sidebar that open when right clicking an item and asking for “more information”…
Also performance will be improved by miles as well as full support for Tomboy, Firefox, Empathy and maybe just maybe Evolution (I am working on a loggers installer)

This release will rock…
And also stay tuned for Zeitgeist 0.3.4 which will introduce ZEO (Zeitgeist Event Ontology), improved data associations, negation queries and wild cards…..
The weeks ahead will be crazy so stay tuned…

the side preview pane is ugly, you should look at gloobus preview and show it on a seperate border less window

The overall interface is shaping up nicely. I just don’t understand why using the right-side bar for a transient piece of detail information. This goes quite against the grain of most UIs.
    I can see it either
    1) living in an inspector-like separate window, or alternatively
    2) collapsible bar always showing details and related items of the one selected in the calendar view (but then you’d have to show item selection in the calendar columns)

What is the rationale behind your UI choice?

Pwnage, but I really *hate* side panels having a close button. I prefer how google reader does it, having an arrow at the margin to hide/show, but you used that idea for ‘next/previous’ days already, hmm.

Maybe just a small button on the upper right to toogle that on and off.

    Fantastic! :D

Anyway, I like the preview being in the same window, because I hate when a program opens hundreds of windows..
Maybe something like gloobus would be nice, but not so easy to implement..

And I agree with Dread Knight about the close button

Hey, looks like you’re doing great work. How about a plugin for epiphany (the official gnome browser) before firefox; not the official browser. I realize more people probably use firefox, but it’s always nice to tip your hat to the hard working gnome folks in your own camp :)

    cheers!

Here is a recent screenshot(ignore the theme issues) http://i43.tinypic.com/xba1d5.png

The panes are not shown by default, they only appear when requested and they are detachable now. Obviously I wish I could be using gdl, but that is not possible sadly.
